Dr. Gary Gilbert
Dr. Gilbert has been married to Elaine (Shellman) Gilbert since 1973. They have three children; Jason, John and Carrie Gilbert Mullica D.D.S. who joined the practice in 2002.
Dr. Gilbert was raised in Harrison Township. He graduated from Austin Catholic Prep High School. He then attended the University of Detroit for his undergraduate studies and went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Dental School in 1975. Dr. Gilbert is a member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association and the Macomb Dental Society.
Continuing education has taken Dr. Gilbert to many parts of the country, where he keeps current with advances in dentistry, including cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, and implant restoration. He has over thirty years of experience in general dentistry. The practice has been at this same location since 1975.
In his spare time, Dr. Gilbert enjoys outdoor activities including, hunting, fishing and archery. He has been an active member of Gilberts Sportsman's Club, where he runs several archery leagues. He is also a member of Michigan Bow hunters and MUCC which help to preserve wildlife habitat.
Dr. Gilbert recently retired and has been able to spend more time with his grandchildren. He also is volunteering at his church, where he is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Dr. Carrie Mullica
Dr. Carrie Gilbert Mullica started her education while growing up in Algonac Michigan. She is a 1994 graduate of Lutheran High North, and a 1997 graduate of Oakland University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. In 2002 she graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. She has been practicing for over 20 years at Gilbert Family Dentistry. She is a member of The American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and the Macomb Dental Society. Dr. Mullica resides in Macomb County with her husband and three children. In her spare time Dr. Mullica enjoys traveling, boating, and fishing.
Dr. Kimberly Barbour
Dr. Barbour was born and raised in Grosse Pointe. She graduated from Grosse Pointe High School, where she served as class president. She attended University of Detroit Mercy for undergrad and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, and the Michigan Dental Association.
She dreamed of being a dentist since she was 6 years old and graduated from University of Detroit Mercy Dental School in 2021! She joined our practice shortly after graduation and we are so lucky to have her!
In her spare time she enjoys sailing, attending live music theater, traveling, spending time with Family and her rescue dog Clancy.
